Your Adventure Begins…
This safari gives you a wonderful snapshot of Kenya’s most loved wilderness areas. Begin with a gentle arrival night in Nairobi, then head north to Ol Pejeta Conservancy where rhino, big cats and wide open plains set the tone for your adventure. Continue to the Masai Mara for iconic game viewing and, finally, slow the pace in the private Mara Naboisho Conservancy where you can enjoy night drives, walks and quiet moments under star-filled skies.
Day 1
Nairobi Touch down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where your driver meets you with a warm welcome. You will be transferred to your overnight hotel in the city (accommodation on own arrangement). Depending on your arrival time, you can relax, recover from your flight, or perhaps visit the Giraffe Centre or explore the city’s cafe culture. This evening, get a good night’s sleep so you are rested for the adventure ahead.
Days 2-3
Ol Pejeta Conservancy After breakfast, your guide meets you for the scenic 4-hour drive north across the fertile highlands towards Ol Pejeta Conservancy, set on the Laikipia Plateau with Mount Kenya on the horizon. Your camp looks out over open plains where elephant, lion and large herds of plains game graze. Over the next two days, you explore the conservancy on game drives, looking for endangered black and northern white rhino and visiting the chimpanzee sanctuary. In between drives, rest in camp, watch wildlife at the waterhole and enjoy fireside dinners under clear African skies.
Days 4-5
Masai Mara National Reserve Today you board a scheduled flight to the famous Masai Mara, a landscape of rolling grasslands, acacia trees and winding rivers. Your safari camp, Rekero, is tucked into a quiet corner of the reserve above the Talek River, close to classic game-viewing areas where lion, cheetah and leopard hunt the migrating herds in season. Spend your days on morning and afternoon game drives, pausing for coffee out on the plains and sundowners with sweeping views. There is time to add a hot-air balloon flight at sunrise or simply linger in camp and soak up the sounds of the bush.
Days 6-9
Mara Naboisho Conservancy After breakfast, you transfer by road (approx. 2 hours) next door to the community-owned Mara Naboisho Conservancy. This private area offers a quieter, more exclusive safari experience. Here you can enjoy off-road driving, guided walking safaris and night drives that are not allowed in the national reserve, giving you a different perspective on the wildlife. Your camp is luxurious yet authentic, with just nine tents, excellent guiding and warm Kenyan hospitality. Evenings are spent around the campfire sharing stories while hyena call in the distance.
