Our Story

We are Pranav and Anita, and Africa, for us, has never just been a destination.

It started long before Travel Africa & More existed. Over 12 years and across 7 countries, we have traveled through some of the continent’s most extraordinary wilderness areas, the private conservancies of Kenya, the remote reaches of Ruaha and Selous, the waterways of the Okavango, the dramatic landscapes of Namibia’s Skeleton Coast, and the wild, undervisited parks of Zambia and Zimbabwe. Not as tourists passing through, but as people genuinely in love with what Africa holds.

For most travelers, an African safari is a once-in-a-lifetime dream. We have been fortunate enough to experience it many times over and sitting outside our suite at Zarafa Camp in Botswana’s Selinda concession one evening, watching an elephant herd move silently back into the wilderness, we asked ourselves a simple question. Why keep this to ourselves?

That moment planted the seed. What began as a desire to share our journeys grew into something more deliberate, a genuine effort to help others experience Africa the way we have. Not through a catalog. Not through assumptions. But through firsthand knowledge of the camps, the seasons, the wildlife movements, and the people on the ground who make the difference between a good trip and an unforgettable one.

What gives us the confidence to deliver is the foundation we have built. Through years of firsthand experience across Africa’s most extraordinary destinations, we have forged direct affiliations with the continent’s leading conservation-focused safari operators. These are not casual relationships. They are partnerships built on shared values, trust and a genuine commitment to delivering experiences that are both luxurious and deeply authentic.

Beyond the safari itself, we care deeply about what happens to Africa’s wilderness when the travelers go home. The private conservancies and camps we work with are doing extraordinary work to protect habitat, support local communities, and ensure that the wildlife defining this continent such as lions, cheetahs, wild dogs and rhinos, have a future. We believe that every person who truly experiences Africa authentically becomes invested in protecting it. Helping that happen, in our own small way, is part of why we do this.

We have been fortunate. We know that. And we want to use that fortune well, to connect people with Africa in a way that is genuine, considered, and truly worth the journey.

Travel Africa & More. Your Safari, Your Story.

Our Philosophy

Experience the tranquility of the African wilderness, sitting quietly beside a waterhole at sunrise, listening to the distant call of fish eagles while elephants emerge through the morning mist to drink, or watching the sun set over the savannah from an open safari vehicle as birds settle into the trees and the distant roar of lions echoes across the landscape.

We created Travel Africa & More because we believe a truly meaningful safari has the power to transform people, inspiring a deeper appreciation for the natural world, a greater understanding of the cultures and communities connected to these wild places, and a lasting commitment to conservation.

Everything we do is built around three core beliefs.

What We Offer

Objective & Personalized

Your Safari, Your StoryNo two travelers are alike, and no two safaris should be either. We take the time to understand what moves you – your pace, your priorities, your budget, your sense of adventure, and build something around that. Not a template. A journey shaped entirely around you.

We’ve Been There. That Changes EverythingEvery destination we recommend, every camp we suggest, every route we design, it comes from firsthand experience, not a brochure. We’ve had the privilege of experiencing 50+ camps and lodges across Africa’s most remarkable destinations and seasons and counting. It’s that on-the-ground knowledge we bring to every conversation, shared transparently and without agenda.

Every Detail, Thoughtfully HandledAfrica is complex – multiple countries, internal flights, seasonal windows, remote transfers, and countless moving parts. We carry all of that so you don’t have to. From the first conversation to the moment you’re back home still thinking about the lions, every detail is managed with care.

Africa Changed Us. We Want It to Change You TooWe plan each journey the way we’d plan our own, with the same care, the same standards, and the same genuine desire for it to be extraordinary. Your satisfaction isn’t a metric for us. It’s personal.

Experience Matters

Firsthand knowledge is at the heart of everything we recommend. Our extensive travels across Africa’s most remarkable destinations, from the great migration plains of East Africa to the remote private concessions of Botswana and Zimbabwe, have given us a depth of understanding that no catalog or brochure can replicate. We know the landscapes, the seasons, the wildlife patterns and the people who make each destination truly extraordinary. That knowledge is what shapes every itinerary we build.

The Journey Should Feel Personal

A safari is far more than a vacation. For many, it becomes one of the most profound experiences of their lives. That is why we approach every itinerary with care and intention.

We also understand that no two travelers are alike. Whether it is your first safari or your fifth return to Africa, we take the time to create journeys that feel personal, seamless and unforgettable, from the first conversation to the moment you return home still carrying Africa with you.

Conservation as a Commitment

Africa’s wild spaces face increasing pressure from habitat loss, human-wildlife conflict, and a rapidly changing world. Across many regions and ecosystems, wildlife and birdlife continue to be impacted in different ways.

We believe a safari can become more meaningful when it offers a deeper understanding of the landscapes, wildlife, and communities connected to these places. Some camps and regions naturally create opportunities for this through conservation-focused experiences, local community interaction, education initiatives, and time spent with the people helping protect these ecosystems every day.

For that reason, we choose to work with properties and partners who value long-term conservation, responsible tourism, wilderness preservation, and meaningful engagement with nearby communities.

Once Africa becomes part of you, it is no longer just a place you want to revisit, it becomes something you want to help protect.

That is the reason we do what we do.
