This itinerary traces an arc from Kenya’s bustling capital to the sweeping plains of the Mara and Serengeti, ending in the rugged beauty of southern Tanzania. Expect remarkable wildlife contrasts as you move from lion-rich conservancies to open cheetah country and, finally, to Ruaha’s remote valleys and ancient baobabs.

Day 1

Touch down in Nairobi and settle into Hemingways Nairobi for your first night in East Africa. If time allows, you can explore some of the city’s highlights, such as the Karen Blixen Museum or the Giraffe Centre. After your long flight, this overnight stop offers an easy, restful transition into the safari days ahead.

Days 2-5

Fly to the Mara Naboisho Conservancy, a vast and wildlife-rich area bordering the Masai Mara. Your base at Naboisho Camp offers a quiet, exclusive setting with excellent game viewing. Explore the conservancy on day and night drives, enjoy guided walks, or opt for cultural visits with the Maasai community. With its open plains, strong lion presence, and wide variety of wildlife, this is an ideal introduction to Kenya’s wild landscapes.

Days 5-7

Cross into Tanzania and arrive at Namiri Plains Camp, set in one of the Serengeti’s most celebrated big cat territories. Spend your days seeking out lion, leopard, cheetah, and the herds that move across the sweeping grasslands. Guided walks, open-vehicle game drives, and optional hot-air balloon flights reveal the eastern Serengeti from different perspectives. Back at camp, unwind by the pool or simply enjoy the views of wildlife at the nearby spring.

Days 7-10

For your final chapter, fly south to Ruaha National Park and settle into Jabali Ridge, a stylish lodge tucked among granite boulders and baobab forest. Ruaha’s scale and quiet atmosphere make it a haven for wildlife: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and even African wild dog roam these remote landscapes. Between game drives and walks, relax at the spa, the pool, or your private deck overlooking the rugged valley. Your journey ends with a flight to Dar es Salaam.
